Serving the Community

At first I got into substitute teaching because I wanted to make income as I pursued all of my creative projects. After making an impact in the lives of some of the students I have had the pleasure of subbing for, I later found to have loved my job. There is no greater pleasure in the selfless activity of serving the community.

The kids can be extremely difficult to deal with at times. There are times where I have had to be an asshole, however setting a tone is necessary in this line of work. I remember when I was in middle school and high school, many of the subs I had were extremely creepy and showed very little care in the development of the students character. This job requires much patience, but that patience will pay off when you know you are actively contributing to the future of your students.
